THE FOOD
Teller's has a reputation
for great food. The menu is upscale and slightly gourmet with daily
chef specials. Popular items include Crab Cakes, an award-winning
Raspberry and Goat Cheese Salad, Salmon Cobb Focaccia, Penne with
Rosemary Chicken, Hyde Park Chop, pizzas with homemade,
hand-tossed crust, and delicious daily chef's specials. The dessert
menu created by an on-site pastry chef is not to be overlooked.
Every Saturday and Sunday, brunch is served from 10:00 a.m. (11:00 a.m. on Saturdays) until 2:00 p.m.,
and offers Burrito con Chorizo, Banana Fosters French Toast, Malted Pancakes, Crab Cakes Benedict.
THE BAR
With over 50 bottled and 30 draught microbrewed beers,
Teller's has one of the largest selections in the area. An extensive
wine list, 23 wines by the glass & over 100 by the bottle, martini
menu, and great happy hour specials make this restaurant a "must"
in picturesque Hyde Park.
THE DECOR
Teller's is located in an historic landmark bank
buildingstone clad pillars, 35-foot cathedral ceilings, a
skylight running the entire length of the buildingthat was
completely renovated into 7,400 square feet of dramatic dining and
bar space. One of the highlights of the restaurant is the working
bank vault, which was recently remodeled. The mezzanine provides
a more intimate dining atmosphere, while allowing a view of the
first floor. In addition, a beautiful outdoor courtyard on the mezzanine
level has a cozy fireplace, iron tables and chairs, and
an outdoor brick bar for patrons.
